CLIFTON, Texas — What began as simple stick figures has grown into an artistic journey fueled by culture, family and faith for one Clifton artist.
At just 16 years old, Marcelino Miramontez has already sold more than 100 original paintings in Clifton , Hillsboro and across Central Texas.
“I started drawing because I watched a lot of movies and cartoons,” Miramontez said. “I practiced with YouTube tutorials and just got better and better.”
Miramontez starting drawing when he was 5. Now, he runs Renzo’s Art —named after his middle name, Lorenzo. He sells colorful works that range from classic cartoon characters like Minnie Mouse and Donald Duck to portraits honoring his Catholic faith and Hispanic heritage.
