Police are investigating a motor vehicle collision in Enfield on Saturday morning involving a woman who was struck and killed by an SUV.

Officers responded to a collision involving a BMW SUV and a pedestrian at the intersection of Route 190 and Middle Road around 9:43 a.m. on Saturday, according to the Enfield Police Department .

The pedestrian, identified as 57-year-old Kimberly Knowles, was transported from the scene of the collision to Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, Massachusetts, where she was pronounced dead, police said.

The BMW driver, a 36-year-old man, was transported to Hartford Hospital with minor injuries, according to police.
