Purdue Fort Wayne and Milwaukee both tallied a goal in the second half of Saturday's 1-1 Horizon League men's soccer contest in Milwaukee.
The tie keeps the Mastodons undefeated in the first 10 matches of the season. They also now have eight points in the league standings and are tied for first with Robert Morris.
Abe Arellano broke a scoreless tie in the 54th minute when he scored his first goal of the season. His first shot was saved, but he jumped on the rebound and put it back in the net.
PFW was only a few minutes from a victory before Milwaukee's attack scored in the 88th minute. Nico Steinweg scored, assisted by Ben Grimm, after Grinn's initial shot was stopped.
Purdue Fort Wayne is 5-0-5 (2-0-2 Horizon League). Milwaukee is 2-5-5 (1-0-3 Horizon League).
