A Heinen’s grocery store manager at 8 p.m. on Sept. 4 reported that a customer threatened to kill an employee after an argument.
Officers located the customer, a 39-year-old Cleveland woman, in her car. As an officer approached, he noticed a firearm in the passenger side pocket of the center console, according to a police department statement. The officer removed the weapon.
The suspect told officers that she and her boyfriend were shopping in the store when the lights were turned off due to it being closing time. She then told the employee it was rude for them to shut the lights off on her if she was still shopping. The employee explained that the store was closed.
