BANGOR -- The Maine Veterans' Homes of Bangor is celebrating 30 years of supporting those who served.

They held a celebration for residents, staff and family alike to commemorate the anniversary.

"I'm touched and I'm so glad to see all our residents and family all come here to make this celebration [a] success," said Activity Director Editha Young-Pratt.

"Yes, I think the response is a true reflection of our attempt at thanking our community, and just a reflection of really enriching our resident's lives every day," added administrator Traci Kennedy.

"When they were looking for a place for me to have rehabilitation, they thought of this place, and I said why not? I'll be up with the old veterans. I call them old veterans, I'm old too, I'm 85 years old...and when I really get o
