LOGANSPORT, Ind. — A statewide Silver Alert has been issued for a missing Cass County teen.

Kairi Maier, 14, was last seen on Monday, Sept. 29 at 3:30 a.m. in Logansport. She is described as five feet tall, 110 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a black sweatshirt, blue gym shorts and baby blue-colored shoes.

Police say Maier is believed to be in extreme danger and may require medical assistance.

Anyone with information on her whereabouts is asked to contact the Cass County Sheriff's Office at 574-722-6060 or dial 911.

There are specific standards a person's disappearance must meet in order for police to declare an Amber Alert or a Silver Alert .

Amber Alerts are for children under the age of 18 who are believed to have been abducted and in danger. Police
