The Surrey Police Service said a pedestrian was struck by a TransLink bus near the intersection of Highway 10 and King George Boulevard in Surrey on Saturday morning.
The incident occurred just after 5 a.m., and involved a bus that was out of service at the time of the collision. B.C. Emergency Health Services transported the pedestrian to hospital with life-threatening injuries. There was no update on their condition as of 5:30 p.m.
That portion of King George remained closed for several hours.
The driver of the bus remained on scene and is co-operating with the investigation, which has been taken over the SPS collision investigation unit. SPS said they have no early indications as to what caused the crash.
