PEORIA ( 25News Now ) - The votes are counted, and the results are in for the Peoria County Bicentennial Mini-Bison contest.

People could paint mini bison statues at the Fired Up studio in Peoria Heights, and the public voted for the top 10 designs. Elected officials picked the winner: Christina Glover, who painted a bison inspired by “Starry Night.”

That bison was made into a full-sized statue, unveiled at the Peoria County Bicentennial Block Party Saturday near the courthouse. At the party, people could view most of the herd that until now was spread out around the county at businesses and organizations.
