A team that was in the post-season for the fourth time in six years but hadn’t won a playoff game since 2016 slayed a whole whack of demons in Saturday’s 10-1 win.
It started in the very first inning, when Vladimir Guerrero Jr. lofted a fly ball into the Jays’ left field bullpen 367 feet away to open the scoring. In his fourth post-season, it was Guerrero’s first home run. Guerrero would later single twice, the three hits matching his career total in six previous post-season games. A sacrifice fly gave him two RBIs after coming into the game with only one in his entire playoff career.
