COLUMBIA, S.C. — South Carolina Attorney General Alan Wilson has assigned a senior attorney from his office to assist in the prosecution of Alexander Devante Dickey, the man accused of killing 22-year-old Logan Federico in Columbia earlier this year.

Wilson announced that Melody Brown, a senior attorney in the Attorney General’s Capital & Collateral Litigation Section, will join the Fifth Circuit Solicitor’s Office in a comprehensive review of the case. Brown specializes in capital cases, including death penalty appeals and post-conviction litigation.
