SOUTH LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- A search is underway for a missing man and his 11-month-old daughter.

According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, DeMarques Pearl may be traveling to Louisiana with his daughter, Aaliyah Ferguson.

The father and daughter were last seen in the South Los Angeles area in the 200 block of W. 74th Street around 10 a.m. on Friday.

Peal is described as a 33-year-old man, 5'6", 260 lbs, with short brown hair, brown eyes and a beard. He was last seen wearing a black shirt.

Aaliyah is described as an 11-month-old girl, 2'0", 22 lbs, with dark brown hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a purple/white Minnie Mouse shirt.
