BOWLING GREEN — The Bowling Green State University hockey team opened its season unofficially with a 4-1 exhibition loss to Robert Morris at Slater Family Ice Arena on Saturday.
All of the scoring came in the first two periods. Robert Morris recorded its first goal with under two minutes remaining in the first period as Michael Felsing found the back of the net, a shot assisted by John Babcock.
The visiting Colonials outscored the Falcons 3-1 in the second period. They made it 2-0 1:43 into the middle frame on an even-strength, unassisted goal by Tanner Klimpke.
BGSU put in its first goal at 8:17 of the second, an unassisted goal scored by Ben Doran.
