PHOENIX — Flooding in Gila County on Sept. 26 killed three people and left a devastating amount of damage to the towns of Globe and Miami.

On Friday, Eli Crane, who represents the area in Congress, met with local leaders and toured the damage.

"Our prayers are with everyone impacted in Gila County, especially the families who lost loved ones during this catastrophe," Rep. Crane said. "My team and I are in constant contact with federal, state, and local partners, and we appreciate the response of community leaders and the dedication of first responders. Although this flooding is devastating, it's inspiring to see thousands of volunteers helping their fellow Arizonans during this crisis."
