CHARLOTTE, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — Family and friends said goodbye to a little boy who was shot and killed last month in his sleep.
"I literally would just let him jump on the couch if I knew this is what we were going to be doing.. I would give him free range and do whatever he wanted to do... If I knew that I would be standing here looking at him today," said the young boy's aunt.
4-year-old Jayce Edwards' family is still in shock that he's gone.
He was shot and killed while sleeping in his home on September 17, as four car thieves on a multi-car stealing spree stole a Dodge Charger in his neighborhood parking lot on Cigar Court.
Four people have been charged in connection with the crime.
