The mission was fundraising on Thursday, yet the atmosphere was jovial fellowship as previous leadership joined the first report luncheon of the 2025 United Way of Hamblen County campaign, now in its 70th year.
The announcement by Tim Coley that $835,571 has been raised to date – 59% of goal – was heard by 20 former campaign chairs, whose presence contributed to near capacity seating in the Morristown Senior Citizen’s Center community room.
“Fantastic,” Campaign Chair Tim Coley said. “Thank you all very much for everything that you’re doing. And to the campaign cabinet, again, you are the backbone of this campaign and we appreciate your efforts. It’s such a great cause. All of these agencies are deserving of these funds and, again, God smiles when we do this.”
