Brandsegg-Nygard caps strong preseason in Red Wings’ job pursuit

DETROIT – Michael Brandsegg-Nygard might have forced himself onto the Detroit Red Wings’ season-opening roster Saturday.

The club’s top pick in the 2024 draft (15th overall), Brandsegg-Nygard capped a strong preseason with a pair of goals in a 6-5 overtime victory over the Toronto Maple Leafs at Little Caesars Arena.
