MOSS BLUFF, La. (KPLC) - Junior and high school anglers got the chance to participate in the Louisiana Youth Bass Tournament Saturday in Moss Bluff.

Over 100 Louisiana high school fishing and youth fishing teams showed off their skills in the Bassmaster High School Tournament on the Calcasieu River.

“From South Louisiana, North Louisiana, Lake D’arbonne, to Toledo Bend and all over, we try to diversify and have a whole lot of different types of places for the kids to fish to hone their skills,” said Louisiana Youth Bass Nation youth director Tommy Abbott.

Abbott said the water Saturday was in great condition for the tournament.
