Emma Hyland had three goals and a game-high six points to help give 10-seeded Gill St. Bernard’s a 5-1 victory over 15-seeded Manville in the first round of the Somerset County Tournament in Gladstone.

Margo Higgins and Emery Scavino each added a goal for Gill St. Bernard’s (8-2).

Chloe Lemanowicz and Daphne Kibler combined to make four saves, and competed a second half shutout in the victory.

Gill St. Bernard’s led 3-1 at halftime before adding a goal in the second half.

Isabella Stage knocked in a goal for Manville (4-7), assisted by Valeria Fonseca.

Gill St. Bernard’s will face seventh-seeded Montgomery in the second round.
