Deputies from the Palm Desert Sheriff’s Station arrested a man and a woman suspected of breaking into model homes in the area and stealing circuit breakers, authorities said Saturday.

The investigation began on Aug. 2 at 8 a.m.,when Palm Desert deputies investigated a burglary at a new housing development in the 73300 block of Warhol Lane, said Riverside County Sheriff’s Sgt. James Mills.

“Deputies obtained a vehicle description and identified the suspect as Manuel Herrera, a 49-year-old resident of Hemet,” Mills said.

At 3 p.m. Friday, the Palm Desert Special Enforcement Team located a vehicle that looked like Herrera’s at a new home development in the 74000 block of Becker Street, he said.

They detained two suspects, later identified as Herrera and 26-year-old Grace Pollard of Bannin
