Penn State started the season 3-0 with cushy wins against non-conference foes Nevada, Florida International and Villanova.

The Lions were heavy favorites in each of those games and failed to cover, even in a 52-6 victory over Villanova.

James Franklin’s team was a slight favorite vs. Oregon in its White Out game on Sept. 27. Didn’t cover. The Ducks won 30-24 in double overtime.

Cut to Saturday, where PSU was a 24.5-point favorite over UCLA at the Rose Bowl.

The Bruins shocked the Lions 42-37 to win their first game of the season.

Five games, zero covers for PSU.

According to the website BETIQ, the Lions are one of three teams who have not covered the betting spread this season.
