Bollywood filmmaker Karan Johar didn’t hold back when talking about the trend of corporate booking, where producers buy tickets for their own films to pump up box office numbers. While acknowledging that people can spend their money as they wish, he said that such moves have little impact on audiences or a film’s reputation.
During a conversation on Komal Nahta’s Game Changers podcast, Karan Johar addressed the controversial trend. “Everybody does what they have to. If I decide to give myself Rs 1 crore, and then I celebrate, have a party at night that I have earned Rs 1 crore. Am I a fool, or am I an intelligent man? I leave that for you to decide," he said.
