Butler Boulevard is continuing to take shape, with plans for a 24-hour gym and car wash the latest development being proposed for the growing commercial strip.

The proposed site of the $2.5 million development is currently vacant land next to a 7-Eleven service station and a gymnastics building.

The Ryderwear gym is planned as a two-storey building and includes 40 carparking spaces.

The car wash is proposed to feature three automated bays, two manual bays and two vacuum stations.

Both the gym and car wash are intended to operate 24 hours, seven days a week.

Local residents are being asked by the City of Wanneroo to provide feedback on the proposal, with community consultation open until Thursday, August 7.
