Delhi, Oct 5: A team of BJP legislators led by former Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh has reached Delhi to push for the formation of a new government in the state currently under President’s Rule. The delegation includes MLAs H Dingo, Th Robindro, S Ranjan, former minister Govindas Konthoujam, and Hill Areas Committee chairman Dinganglung Gangmei.

President’s Rule was imposed in Manipur on February 13 after months of ethnic conflict and was extended for another six months in August. Though the state remains under central rule, the Assembly is in suspended animation, giving BJP legislators hope of restoring an elected government.
