One such painful scene unfolded in Kansas, where seven very young puppies were abandoned in a ditch beside a heavily traveled road.

These little ones deserved safety, warmth, and care. Instead, they were met with neglect.

A kindhearted family could not believe their eyes when they spotted seven puppies lying in a shallow roadside ditch. Without hesitation, they gathered the pups and drove them straight to the Jefferson County Humane Society .
