Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Gyanesh Kumar on Saturday said that the voter list revision process in Bihar was carried out strictly under the law.

Congress General Secretary in charge of Communications, Jairam Ramesh, on Saturday alleged large-scale irregularities in the final electoral roll released after the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) exercise in Bihar, accusing the Election Commission of acting under the influence of the ruling BJP.

Addressing the media during his two-day visit to the state, the CEC said the Special Summary Revision (SIR) process was completed successfully and thanked the booth-level officers (BLOs) for their exemplary work.
