1925: The Rev. Fr. Ed Albouy proved himself a chairman deluxe at Tuesday’s Rotary meeting, with a whiz of a program in which information and fun were mixed in just the right proportions. Following a song led by Song-leader Tom Bellwood, with Miss Elsa Myers at the piano, the padre told of the early founding of missions at Indian settlements in New Mexico and Arizona, including the present Hopi villages, Oraibi and Walpi, by Franciscan friars long before the famous landing of the pilgrims at Plymouth Rock. This address will be printed in The Sun at an early date.
