Fans trolled Smriti Mandhana after she failed once again in the ongoing Women's World Cup 2025 during the clash against Pakistan. Mandhana was dismissed for 23 runs off 32 balls as she struggled to find the right rhythm with the bat, which has been the case so far in the tournament. In the first match against Sri Lanka, the Indian vice-captain scored 8 runs.

Mandhana came into the competition on the back of some big knocks , which has her at the top of the run-getters charts in women's ODIs for this year with 959 runs in 16 matches with four hundreds and three fifties to her name. However, that form hasn't spilled over to the World Cup as she was trapped in front of the stumps by Pakistan captain Fatima Sana.
