Sveva Caetani, an Italian-Canadian artist who, for over 70 years lived in B.C.'s North Okanagan, always wanted to see her artwork hung in Rome, but never got the chance.
Now, her dreams are coming true posthumously, as her work is being featured in a retrospective in Italy's MAXXI gallery — a prominent, contemporary national art museum.
Caetani's ancestors were Italian royalty known for their contributions to Italian culture, including two popes, politicians, scholars and artists.
