Hyderabad: Hundreds of protesters gathered at Dharna Chowk near Indira Park in the city on Sunday afternoon to express solidarity for Gaza and to condemn two years of ongoing attacks on the Palestinians.

The protest is a part of nationwide demonstrations held in other cities such as Visakhapatnam, Vijayawada, New Delhi, Lucknow, Patna, Kolkata, and Pune by organisations such as Indian People in Solidarity with Palestine and BDS India.

On a balmy Sunday afternoon, the large gathering saw participation from activists, students, doctors and people from several walks of life.

The besieged enclave has been under Israeli attack since October 2023, when Palestinian militant group Hamas killed about 800 Israeli civilians and about 250 IDF military and police personnel.
