New Delhi: As demands soar during the festive season, so do airfares.
To ensure that passengers don’t have to shell out exorbitant amounts while travelling home to be with their near and dear ones or going on a holiday, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has reviewed airfare trends and advised airlines to augment flight capacities. ADVERTISEMENT
In line with the policy of Ministry of Civil Aviation (MoCA) to monitor airfares, particularly during peak travel periods, DGCA engaged with different airlines to make sure the pricing is reasonable and sufficient capacity.
