Uber driver saves the day for Oisín Murphy as Asfoora lands famous Prix de l’Abbaye success for Australia

There may have been plenty of pre-race drama with Asfoora's participation in today's Prix de l’Abbaye at Longchamp in doubt just minutes before flag fall, but it was plain sailing once the stalls opened.

The Australian raider, winner of the Nunthorpe at York in August, continued her extraordinary European tour with a decisive sprint success under Kerry rider Oisín Murphy but the 13/5 favourite very nearly wasn't allowed to line up.
