THE 911 audio from the violent altercation that led to the stabbing of ex-NFL player Mark Sanchez has been released.

The 38-year-old was hospitalised with critical stab wounds on Saturday morning but is in a stable condition following the altercation between himself and a man in downtown Indianapolis.

Cops arrested Sanchez in the hospital for battery with injury, unlawful entry of a motor vehicle, and public intoxication.

The other person involved in the incident was treated for lacerations, the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department said.

He told officers he was acting in self-defense when Sanchez was stabbed.

Now, the 911 dispatch call to officers responding to the incident has been obtained by TMZ.
