Kochi: A resounding call to faith, leadership, and missionary zeal marked the closing ceremony of the National Youth Conference at the Divine Retreat Centre, Muringoor, as Cardinal Filipe Neri Ferrão, President of the Conference of Catholic Bishops of India (CCBI) and the Federation of Asian Bishops’ Conferences (FABC), reminded young Catholics that they are “the present and the future of the Church.”

The event, which celebrated the silver jubilee of the Indian Catholic Youth Movement (ICYM), brought together more than 2,500 youth leaders and 200 priests from across India. The five-day celebration concluded with the solemn Holy Mass of Witness, presided over by Cardinal Ferrão, who urged young people to become living witnesses of Christ in today’s changing world.
