If so, clear Main Street for Monday afternoon because the Hamilton Tiger-Cats beat their historic rivals from down the QEW on Saturday and defended the silverware presented to the winner of the season series between the two clubs.

Didn’t just beat them, either. They handled the Toronto Argonauts for most of the contest, ultimately winning 47-29. In the process, eliminating the defending Grey Cup champions from playoff contention.

For a game that was loaded with questions after last week’s terrible performance in Winnipeg, this one surely allowed some Ticats’ fans to exhale. Maybe not expelling all their anxieties about this team but at least assuaging some of the worries and putting some gold stars on the report card.
