NORTH CENTRAL GULF:

A weak area of low pressure is sitting over the north-central Gulf. It's producing some scattered showers and storms near the coasts of Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama. This system is moving slowly toward Texas and could reach the coast by Monday. The air high up in the sky is too strong for it to grow, so it's not expected to become a tropical storm. Advertisement

IMPACTS:

Showers and thunderstorms will be likely for the northern Gulf coast including southeast Louisiana from this system.

Coastal flooding will also be possible.

CENTRAL TROPICAL ATLANTIC:
