Former Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez was arrested Saturday and charged with three misdemeanors over his role in an altercation that resulted in him being stabbed, police said. Sanchez was hospitalized and is in stable condition after the overnight incident in downtown Indianapolis.
The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department said in a statement released Saturday evening that Sanchez was arrested on charges of “battery with injury, unlawful entry of a motor vehicle and public intoxication.” Sanchez, a Fox broadcaster, is in Indianapolis to call Sunday’s game between the Colts and the Raiders.
The police said Sanchez is still in the hospital and has not been booked into the Adult Detention Center. The Marion County Prosecutor’s Office will make the final charging decision.
