BEAUMONT, Texas — Beaumont police are investigating a deadly shooting that happened Sunday morning in the 1500 block of Orange Avenue.

Police responded to the scene around 7:30 a.m. where they discovered a male victim suffering from a gunshot wound inside a truck that had crashed into a tree.

Justice of the Peace Precinct 6 Ransom 'Duce' Jones pronounced the man dead at the scene and ordered an autopsy.

The victim's identity has not been released and the investigation into the shooting remains ongoing.
