Ranchi : People in and around the city have been complaining of seasonal illnesses like uneasiness, stomach-related ailments, cough and cold, lingering fever for the past 14 days. At least one or two individuals in every household have been affected, sources in various healthcare facilities in Ranchi said.
These ailments can be attributed to the excessive rainfall during this year’s monsoon, the frequent change in weather conditions and unhealthy lifestyles, doctors said.
Dr Bimlesh Singh, the deputy medical superintendent of Sadar Hospital in Ranchi, said that people are suffering from upper respiratory tract infections because of the prevailing damp weather. “Besides cough, cold, and fever, some people are also complaining of gastroenteritis,” he said.
Dr Bimlesh said that in the
