AQUILLA, Mo. (WSIL) -- A 26-year-old man is dead after a side-by-side crash in Stoddard County on Saturday.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol said the crash happened at 8:30 p.m. on October 4, along Route AB, roughly three miles east of Aquilla.

State police said a 26-year-old man from Bloomfield was driving a 2019 Polaris RZR Turbo S going east when the vehicle ran off the road and overturned.

The driver was taken to Mercy Hospital in Stoddard County and was later pronounced dead.

State police said this is the 48th death related to a traffic crash in southeast Missouri for 2025.
