Detectives are investigating a stabbing that sent one man to the hospital late Saturday night in Terra Bella, authorities said.
Around 10:40 p.m., Tulare County Sheriff’s deputies were called to the 22000 block of Avenue 96 for a report of a stabbing.
Deputies learned two men had gotten into an argument at a party when one allegedly stabbed the other in the stomach, the sheriff’s office said in a statement.
Deputies provided first aid until emergency medical personnel and Tulare County Fire arrived.
The victim was later airlifted to an area hospital.

The suspect had fled before deputies arrived. Sheriff’s detectives have taken over the investigation.
