Quinshon Judkins paced the Browns offense with 110 rushing yards on 23 carries.
Rookie Dillon Gabriel, in his first NFL start, went 17-of-30 for 146 yards and had TD tosses to tight ends Harold Fannin Jr. and David Njoku.
Jordan Mason gave Minnesota a 14-10 lead with a 3-yard TD run early in the third.
Andre Szmyt hit a 31-yard field goal with 9 seconds left in the second quarter, giving Cleveland its first halftime lead (10-7) since week 12 of last season.
Cleveland’s defense had 2 sacks and 2 takeaways.
The Browns (1-4) visit Pittsburgh next Sunday (1 p.m., CBS).
