LAWRENCE, Kan. (KCTV) - 49-year-old Richard W. Page is in custody for the alleged property damage of a bus and battery of its driver.

Around 3 p.m. on Oct. 4, the Lawrence Police Department responded to the area of E 11th Street and New Hampshire Street. A bus passenger called 911 to report another passenger behaving erratically.

By the time the officers arrived, the passenger in question, Page, was off the bus, wearing no shirt and visibly agitated.

They learned that the bus driver had asked Page to roll up his window, as it was not allowed to be down. Page reportedly refused to do so and began “disrupting other passengers,” so the driver pulled over and asked him to get off.

Page then shoved the driver, took his glasses off his face and punched the bus window out, LKPD said.
