India’s women’s cricket team stamped their authority yet again over arch-rivals Pakistan with a commanding 88-run victory at the R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo.

The win not only extended India’s flawless record to 12-0 against Pakistan in Women’s ODIs but also propelled them to the top of the World Cup points table.

Despite a shaky batting display, India posted 247, thanks to Harleen Deol’s steady 46 and Richa Ghosh’s explosive unbeaten 35 off 20 balls. Pakistan’s bowlers, led by Diana Baig and Fatima Sana, kept India in check early on, but the late surge gave India the edge.
