SAN ANTONIO — Firefighters responded to a "substantial" blaze at a home on the city’s south side late Sunday morning, according to the San Antonio Fire Department.
Crews arrived around 11:30 a.m. to the 300 block of Sussex Avenue and found heavy fire coming from the structure, officials said. Flames had begun to spread to a neighboring property but were quickly contained.
The fire was brought under control in about 30 minutes, according to SAFD. No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
