Diane Carpenter of Shelby Township is pretty sure she’s sold the house where she and her husband raised their children.
He died several years ago and because of the work to maintain the home and with both of her children now living in Clinton Township she decided to sell it and move closer to them.
“It’s pending,” Carpenter said, of the sale. “I’m looking to get into a condominium with two bedrooms, one bath, living room, and a good sized kitchen. A garage would be nice but not necessary.”
The home two doors down from her sold for $400,000.
Her asking price was $394,000.
“But I haven’t had a lot of offers,” Carpenter said.
So, she dropped the price for a young couple who are looking to buy their first home.
