Five ranked teams — including two ranked in the Top-10 — lost in college football this weekend, leading to another week of madness in the AP Poll.

Losses for Penn State against UCLA and Texas against Florida were the headlines of the weekend, but that did not excuse the losses for Iowa State, Florida State and Vanderbilt, all of which either fell out of the rankings altogether or are hanging on by a thread.

It was certainly a good week for the Michigan Wolverines to pick up a key Big Ten win at home, defeating the Wisconsin Badgers, 24-10, to rise from No. 20 to No. 15 with all the movement around them. As for Michigan’s upcoming opponent next weekend, USC just missed the AP Top-25, but the Trojans are coming off of a much-needed bye week and will have home-field advantage come Saturday.
