Kansas City Chiefs superstar defensive tackle Chris Jones has courageously been playing through a heavy heart over the last two weeks.

Speaking to reporters on Friday, Chris Jones revealed that his aunt Angela died of a heart attack during the Chiefs’ Week 3 “Sunday Night Football Game” against the New York Giants on Sept. 21.

“She meant a lot,” Jones said, per Chloe Godding of KMBC. “I actually stayed with her for a duration, part of my life, probably like five or six years. So we were very close.

“She was actually watching my game when she passed away, so. Meant a lot to me, my family, huge supporter.”

Jones attended Angela’s funeral in Mississippi before last Sunday’s game against the Baltimore Ravens. He arrived at Arrowhead Stadium shortly before kickoff and helped the Chiefs to a
