New Delhi: Prominent China affairs expert, Professor Srikanth Kondapalli, on Saturday commented on Beijing’s continued backing of Pakistan during Operation Sindoor, accusing it of double standards on counter-terrorism. He claimed that one of the terrorists involved in the Pahalgam terror assault was using a Huawei mobile phone connected to a Chinese satellite network. According to him, the terrorist had communicated with handlers in Pakistan using that satellite link at the time of the attack.
In an interaction with news agency ANI, Professor Kondapalli, who teaches Chinese Studies at Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), reiterated that China had extended support to Pakistan during Operation Sindoor.
