Ike Turner Jr. has passed away.

The son of Tina Turner and Ike Turner died of kidney failure at the age of 67, just a day after his birthday on Saturday (October 4) in Los Angeles.

His family member, Tina ‘s niece Jacqueline Bullock , confirmed the news to TMZ , as well as the cause of death.

He reportedly dealt with “severe heart issues” for years, and his health had been declining for some time, including a stroke in early September, per the report.

“It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of my cousin, Ike Turner, Jr. Junior was more than a cousin to me, but rather a brother, as we grew up in the same famed household together,” she said in a statement, via Page Six .
