JP McManus’ son-in-law edges out Dermot Desmond’s son in Alfred Dunhill Links Pro-Am

Cian Foley followed in the footsteps of his father-in-law JP McManus when he claimed the Alfred Dunhill Championship team title alongside Australian professional Harrison Crowe in Scotland.

Crowe and seven-handicapper Foley’s superb nine-under-par 63 at Carnoustie gave them a one-shot win over Dermot Desmond’s son Dery on 33-under-par in an event cut to 54 holes because of Storm Amy.

“It was so enjoyable playing with Harrison and we had a great time,” Foley said after winning in his 12th appearance in the tournament.
